A collection of photographs emphasising the vernacular and visual chaos of corner shops. A big part of why I found corner shops so interesting was the complete visual overload you experience whenever you pop in - compared to a supermarket where everything is perfectly aligned and strategically placed.

All photos were taken in various corner shops around Winton, Bournemouth.

The focus for these images was to document everyday objects and scenes of corner shops that everyone is familiar with, and capture a sense of maximalism - from the garish packaging and neon sticky signs to the overflowing shelves on the shop floor.
